Prediction of Self-Efficacy of Sexual Activity Based on Attachment Styles, Sexual Satisfaction and Sexual Function in Married Female Nursing Students

Introduction: In recent years, the self-efficacy of sexual activity is one of the most important factors in the quality of marital life. Therefore, the aim of this study was to Prediction of Self-efficacy of sexual activity based on attachment styles, sexual satisfaction and sexual function in married female nursing students of Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz.
               
Methods: This study was a correlational type. The research population was married female nursing student at Ahvaz Islamic Azad University. Due to the limited number of communities, the entire community was selected by census method sampling (60 people). All of them completed the scales of adult attachment, sexual satisfaction, female sexual function, women's self-efficacy of sexual activity. Data was analyzed with using SPSS-21 and by Pearson correlation and multiple regression with enter model methods.
 
Results: The findings showed that secure attachment styles (r=0/357), sexual satisfaction (r=0/264) and sexual function (r=0/677), had a significantly positive relationship with married female nursing students’ self-efficacy of sexual activity and ambivalent attachment style (r=-0/318) and avoidant attachment style (r=-0/374) had a significantly negative relationship with married female nursing students’ self-efficacy of sexual activity. Also, the sexual satisfaction (b=0/31( The most powerful predictor of self-efficacy of sexual activity are positive and significant efficacy.
 
Conclusions: The results indicated the role and importance of the variables of attachment styles, sexual satisfaction and sexual function in predicting the self-efficacy of sexual activism of married female nursing students. Therefore, counselors and psychotherapists should design and implement appropriate programs based on these factors to increase the self-efficacy of the sexual activity of married female nursing students.
