ntroduction: Women with breast cancer suffer from adverse mood-emotional states such as anxiety, psychological stress, feelings of hopelessness, and difficulty in cognitive-emotional regulation. The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy on life-related mental health and difficulty in emotional regulation in women with breast cancer in Khorramabad city. Methods: The present study was a semi-experimental study with a pre-test, post-test design with a three-month follow-up and a control group. 40 women with breast cancer with an age range of 44.22±4.76 who were admitted to the Noor Cancer Charity Institute in Khorramabad city from July to March 2025 through convenient sampling. Then, they were randomly assigned to the mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral intervention group (20 femal) and the control group (20 femal). The data were completed with demographic questionnaires, difficulty in emotional regulation, and life-related mental health in 3 stages: pre-test, post-test, and follow-up. The data were analyzed with SPSS version 26 software. Findings: The findings showed that there was no significant difference between the intervention and control groups in the mean of life-related mental health and difficulty in emotional regulation in the pre-test stage. However, the difference between the intervention and control groups in the post-test and follow-up of the studied variables was significant (P > 0.001). Conclusion: According to the findings, it is recommended that those responsible for increasing mental health and reducing psychological problems of women with breast cancer should make sufficient use of mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy in their workshops and interventions to reduce emotional problems and increase life-related mental health.
